Osteoporosis affects 10 million of us with more people developing it every year.
Why worry about our bones and how strong they are? Because as our bones thin and become weak we have a much higher chance of bone fractures.
Hip fractures, spine fractures, wrist and rib fractures. All of these happen more often when we have osteoporosis.
When you think of osteoporosis what comes to mind?
As a parent there is nothing more important than our kids. We want them to be safe, confident and we definitely want them to be healthy.
What really touches my heart is when a sick child is brought in to see me. Kids are supposed to be running around having fun, making us laugh and driving us crazy. Kids are supposed to radiate health not be sick.
Like so many other things I have seen in practice I am seeing more and more children with bigger health issues than ever before.
How is your brain working?
Are you not as “sharp” as you used to be?
Did you know that after the age of 30 our brain starts shrinking? I don’t know about you but I don’t like the sound of that!
Our brain is an amazing thing. In an adult it weighs about 3 pounds and has 100 billion neurons which is how many stars there are in our galaxy. More electrical impulses are generated in one day by a single human brain than by all the telephones in the world.
